Join us behind the scenes of our Florere x Urban Flower Co shoot, where vision, creativity, and craftsmanship come together to create more than just images.

From the first spark of an idea to the final polished frame, every shoot is a carefully curated journey. It all begins with a concept, a mood, a feeling, a story we want to tell through fabric, form, and light. From there, we scout locations, style looks, and bring together a dream team to bring the vision to life. In this blog, we’re taking you behind the scenes on our shoot in collaboration with Urban Flower Co to see how all the elements come together to build something amazing.

Concept Moodboard

Before every editorial shoot, we begin by diving deep into the concept, drawing inspiration from art, film, fashion archives, and even unexpected textures or tones. Once the creative direction is clear, we build a detailed moodboard that brings the vision to life. It includes everything from color palettes, hair, makeup, and lighting ideas. This moodboard becomes our visual compass, helping align the entire team and ensuring that every shot tells a cohesive, intentional story. It's the foundation of our creative process and sets the tone for everything that follows.

The Team

A Florere editorial shoot is never a solo act - it’s a collaborative performance where every creative plays a vital role. The photographer captures the vision through their lens, shaping mood and story with light and composition. The hair and makeup artist transforms the model, enhancing the narrative with every detail. The stylist curates the wardrobe, ensuring every look aligns with the concept and flows seamlessly on camera. And the set designer builds the world around it all, crafting a space that elevates the story and brings the entire shoot to life. Together, this team turns a creative idea into a striking visual experience.

We were so lucky to partner with a fabulous female team for this shoot, with Photography by Carla Guler, Styling by Hannah Beck, Hair & Makeup by Cinta London and our fabulous model, Stephanie.

The Studio

We spent a lot of time exploring studio options to find a space that truly aligned with the mood and tone of our concept. Initially, we considered hiring plants to style a traditional studio, but then we discovered Urban Flowers – The Grow, a North London-based florist with a hidden gem of a studio tucked away at the back. It was the perfect fit, bringing our vision to life and we handpainted an organic, textured backdrop that complemented our garments and prints effortlessly.
